Twisted Trees

Twisted trees dance in the wind. They move in anticipation of the coming storm. Their branches reach to the sky and call to the gods to let the rain bring the refreshing life that only water can give. The meadow they stand in tries hard to contain them with little luck for the trees rejoice in the open space. Together they sing to their brethren in the woods behind them in voices only a fortunate few can hear. Listen.
Photography takes me to many places. No matter where I go there is always something that catches my eye, speaks to my inner artist, and sparks my curiosity. The trees in the photograph were a surprise. I wasn’t even looking for pictures to take, I was visiting a loved one at a cemetery. It was only after paying my respects did I notice the storm coming in and the trees dancing in the wind. Like so many times when I leave the house, I had my camera with me. You never know when your creativity is going to be switched on. I was able to catch the trees in their dance and doing that makes me feel complete. Photography is something I need. It is my outlet, and it brings so much joy to me. I hope my art brings a little be of joy to you too.
