Not so long ago I was lucky enough to take part in photography workshop with Parker J. Pfister in the Badlands of South Dakota. We stayed at the Circle View Ranch at Interior, SD. The image I’m sharing is taken from the Ranch’s back porch that overlooks the White River. There was a storm brewing and the clouds were spectacular. During the whole workshop there were so many things for a creative to find inspiration from. The landscape, the people I was lucky enough to meet, and then there was Parker himself. He has a way of drawing out your creative artist that I’ve never had to pleasure of experiencing before. Even though this was a photography workshop we focused more on ourselves by learning about who we all were/are as artists. The Badlands was the perfect setting to allow for such personal growth. I will always look back on this image with fond memories and look forward to being taken under Parker’s mentorship in the coming months.
